A 3.5-million-dollar waterfront project completed in 2005 in this village of 250 people. As prime consultants, our firm was responsible for design and administration of a multi-tender implementation which was under budget and on schedule. A key part of the project was a small sea rescue interpretive building complete with displays and exhibits on the row boats used to retrieve those falling victims to the treacherous waters. Components include an extensive boardwalk and pier, a ten room Inn, a small sea rescue interpretive building and displays were a key part of the mandate, restaurant on the marina, a day adventure facility, a trail link to the Confederation Trail and all associated parking, storm water management, site furnishings, interpretive plaza, pier pavilion, lighting and indigenous coastal landscaping.
